1941年 米カリフォルニア州に生まれ。1963年 カリフォルニア州立大学卒業。1963年 ロックウェル社（アポロ計画）勤務。1967年 システム・デベロップメント社（SDC）勤務。1969年 SDCに在籍しながら南カリフォルニア大学経済学博士号取得。同年、SDCの社員として日本の市場調査のため初来日 1972年 株式会社アシスト設立、代表取締役となり、現在に至る。 京都に在住、趣味は読書とテニス。 主な著書に『日本は悪くない』など日米問題を中心としたものが10冊を超す。

Born in California, USA in 1941. Graduated from California State University in 1963. Began working at Rockwell (Apollo Project) in 1963. Began working at System Development Company (SDC) in 1967. While continuing work at SDC he obtained his PhD in Economics from the University of Southern California. The same year he came to Japan for the first time to examine the market as an SDC employee. In 1972 he founded Assist Co. and became the representative director, a position he holds to this day. He lives in Kyoto and his hobbies include reading and tennis. His publications number over 10 volumes and include such works as "Nihon wa warukunai (It's not Japan's Fault)" which center on problems with Japan-US relations.
