1946年、長野市生まれ。本名・孝。字・慈伯。別に心齋、龍湫、愚禿、方瞳、隻眼子と号す。財団法人驥山館理事長。
書は正村八洲、川村佩玉、小坂奇石に師事。主に日展、読売書法展、日本書芸院展、長野県書道展を中心に、行・草書による墨色の美しい叙情的な作品を発表している。日展入選23回を数え、現在は日展会友、読書書法展理事・審査員、長野県書道常任運営委員、信州書芸会事務局長を務め、自らは書道研究惜陰社を主宰し、後進の指導に当たっている。
笠原聖雲、一色白泉との『新春書道三人展』は、既に24回を重ね、毎年長野県に寄付している。また、上海の書家・童衍方との合作砂壷(急須)を中心とした二人展(三回)や、書家、版画家、ガラス工芸家、陶芸家、染色家との合作展も多く、最近ではヴァイオリン、鼓、尺八といった音楽家とのコラボレーションにも積極的に挑戦している。さらに信越放送のラジオ番組にレギュラー出演するなど、多方面的な活動を通じて「書の魅力」を伝え続けている。

Born in Nagano City, 1946. Real name is Takashi. Formerly known as Jihaku. Also has gone by Shinsai, Ryushu (with a different character for "shu"), Gutoku, Hodo, and Sekiganshi. Director of the Kizankan Foundation.
Studied calligraphy under Hasshu Shomura, Haigyoku Kawamura, and Kiseki Kosaka. His beautiful and expressive semi-cursive and cursive ink works are displayed mainly at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition, the Yomiuri Shoho Exhibition, the Japan Shogeiin Exhibition, and the Nagano Prefecture Calligraphy Exhibition. He has been selected for a prize 23 times at the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition and is closely associated with the exhibition, he is a director and judge for the Dokusho Shoho Exhibition, a general administrator for the Nagano Prefecture Calligraphy exhibition, secretary-general for the Shinshu Shogeikai, and he also oversees the Calligraphy Research Sekiin company and continues to make progress to this day.
The New Year’s Three-Person Calligraphy Exhibition with Seiun Kasahara and Hakusen Isshoku is held in Nagano Prefecture every year and has already been held 24 times. Also he has held a two-person exhibition three times with Shanghai calligrapher Enbo Do centered around a jointly-created sunatsubo (small teapot), and has many joint projects with calligraphers, engravers, glassworkers, potters, and dyers, and has recently been working actively on a collaboration with violin, hand drum, and shakuhachi players. Also he regularly appears on a Shinetsu Broadcasting radio show and continues to convey the "allure of calligraphy" in many ways.
