1975年福岡県生まれ。 京都大学文学部哲学科美学美術史卒業。 大手広告代理店勤務を経て、米国サンダーバード経営大学院でMBAを取得。
現在、松竹株式会社プロデューサーおよび松竹芸能株式会社事業開発室長として、歌舞伎やお笑いをテーマにした新規事業立ち上げを行っている。

留学時代、シリコンバレーでのインターン経験を通じて、アメリカ西海岸の自由で開放的なワークスタイルに感化される。 そこで気づいた創造的な仕事のやりかたを集めた『IDEA HACKS!』を出版、ベストセラーとなる。

ハック＝難しいことをさくっと解決するテクニックという、小さな行動から仕事の質を大きく変えていく、いわば２１世紀の行動哲学を提案している。 ほかに『TIME HACKS!』、『STUDY HACKS!』、『超WORK HACKS!』、『ライフハックのつくりかた』。 編集工学研究所の松岡正剛氏が主催する ISIS編集学校師範代・代匠も務める。

Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1975. Graduated with a degree in Art History from the Philosophy Department of the School of Literature of Kyoto University. After working at an Advertising Agency, he earned his MBA at America's Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Currently he is a producer at Shochiku and the head of project development at Shochikugeino and is working on starting new projects with the themes of kabuki and comedy.

Through his time studying abroad and his internship experience in Silicon Valley he was influenced by the free and open work style of the American west coast. He collected the creative ways of working he found there and published "IDEA HACKS!" which became a best-seller.

A hack is a technique to quickly resolve difficulties, and is presented as greatly changing the quality of work from a small action; a 21st century behavioral philosophy. He has also published "TIME HACKS!", "STUDY HACKS!", "Super WORK HACKS!" and "How to create Life Hacks". Also works as an assistant instructor at the ISIS Editing School headed by Seigo Matsuoka of the Editorial Engineering Laboratory.
